2017 put us through the political wringer—and then came 2018. It's never been more clear that the work we do at the Massachusetts Review matters. We stand with you on the heath in this storm; you inspire us to publish work that challenges stereotypes and offers light in the darkness

We couldn't do it without you.

You help us publish diverse and underrepresented voices, artists who aren't afraid to stir up controversy, and writers who remind us of our shared humanity. We approached our forthcoming issue in this spirit. With guest editors Cathy Schlund-Vials, president of the national Association for Asian American Studies, and Lawrence-Minh Bui Davis, director of the Smithsonian Institute's Asian Pacific American Center, MR is eagerly anticipating our first special issue on Asian American writers. We can't wait to share it with you.

Your support makes this possible.

2019 will be our 60th year in print. Your support lets us publish radically inclusive art, and literature with something to say, work that is grounded in truth, humanity, and yes, beauty. Thank you for being a bright spot in 2018—and for continuing to stand with us in 2019.
